Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who allegedly took equipment from Tractor Supply Co. in Hammond.

On the morning of July 28, a white man entered the store with a basket. The suspect went to the back of the store, placed an electric truck winch valued around $600 into the basket and left the store, without paying for the merchandise, in a silver Ford F-150, according to the sheriff’s office.

Chief Jimmy Travis asks anyone able to identify the subject pictured in surveillance footage to please contact Detective McFarland at 985-514-8181, or if they wish to remain anonymous, to please call Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa’s anonymous tip line at 1-800-554-5245 or visit www.tangicrime stoppers.com and click on the P3 Tips icon or Submit A Tip. You may be eligible for a cash reward.

Travis also reported that on July 26, detectives began investigating two burglaries of a shed occurring on July 23 and July 25 in the Uneedus area.

Numerous items were taken from the shed by a subject pictured in security footage.

Travis asks anyone able to identify the subject pictured to please contact Sgt. Jill Hutcheson at 985-748-8147, or if they wish to remain anonymous, to please call Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa’s anonymous tip line at 1-800-554-5245 or visit www.tangicrime stoppers.com and click on the P3 Tips icon or Submit A Tip. The sheriff’s office reminds the public that all persons suspected of any crimes are to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
